The Opportunity
Are you an experienced maintenance leader with a solid background in infrastructure and facilities management? Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Services Supervisor to join our high-performing team at the Lake Vermont Coal Project.
As a key member of the Lake Vermont team, you'll be responsible for leading the maintenance and upkeep of camp facilities, site buildings and critical infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective outcomes that support our people and operations.
Roster: 9-Day Fortnight | Location: Lake Vermont, QLD | Employment Type: Full Time
As the Site Services Supervisor, you will
- Lead the safe and compliant maintenance of camp facilities, site buildings and infrastructure in line with Thiess HSE standards.
- Plan, coordinate and execute maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed to specification, on schedule and within budget.
- Lead, coach and develop the maintenance team while managing contractors, suppliers and key site stakeholders to deliver reliable operational outcomes.
About you
- Trade qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure, facilities or camp maintenance within a mining or heavy industry environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing site-based maintenance teams.
- Exposure to maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
- Required coal mining competencies: RIIRIS301A, RIICOM301B, RIIOHS301A and RIIRIS402A.
- Strong understanding of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
