This role supports refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical technicians by keeping the workshop, spare parts, stock and equipment organised and ready when needed. You will be responsible for maintaining stores and workshop operations, taking ownership of the role without needing to be constantly supervised.
Key responsibilities
- Receiving, checking and organising parts and deliveries
- Maintaining stock levels and inventory
- Ordering and replenishing commonly used parts and consumables
- Picking and preparing parts and equipment for technicians
- Keeping the workshop and stores clean, tidy and well organised
- Organising spare parts, materials, tools and equipment
- Managing the storage, movement and return of portable air conditioners
- Keeping track of tools and company equipment
- Coordinating scissor lift and access equipment usage
- Assisting with vehicle servicing, maintenance and general fleet upkeep
About you
- Has previous stores, parts, warehousing or similar experience
- Has a good understanding of trade parts, materials and equipment
- Is highly organised with good attention to detail
- Is reliable, proactive and able to work independently
- Takes pride in keeping a clean and organised workplace
- Has good computer and record-keeping skills
- Is physically capable of performing normal stores and workshop duties
- Holds a current full Australian driver's licence – essential
- Experience within an air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical or other trade-based business would be highly regarded
