The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Diesel Fitter with a passion for maintaining heavy mobile mining equipment? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Diesel Fitters to join our high-performing team at Peak Downs Mine, Queensland.
As a key member of the Peak Downs Maintenance team, you'll be responsible for safely maintaining, repairing and servicing a diverse fleet of mobile mining equipment to support reliable and efficient production outcomes.
Roster: 7/7 Even Time | Location: Peak Downs Mine, QLD | Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
As the Diesel Fitter, you will:
- Maintain, repair and service a variety of mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently in line with Thiess and industry standards.
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot equipment issues and complete preventative maintenance activities to maximise fleet reliability.
- Follow work instructions, complete maintenance documentation accurately and maintain high housekeeping and safety standards.
About you
- Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or recognised equivalent.
- Post-trade experience within the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
- Experience in maintenance,
breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Current Standard 11 desirable.
- Robust commitment to safety, risk management and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing maintenance team.
