About the role

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated machinist who can demonstrate experience in small to large scale CNC jobbing work. This role offers exposure to modern equipment and the opportunity to progress into a senior position.

Key responsibilities

- CNC setting, operating and programming

- Jobbing and production machining

- Heavy and precision machining work

- Program with SolidCAM and Celos conversational software

- Process improvement and tooling development

- Train and lead apprentices

- Problem solve and implement change in machining processes

- Exposure to CNC automation and robotics Fanuc cell

About you

- Trade qualified machinist

- Strong CNC machining background

- Able to set and operate CNC machines confidently

- Experience in both small to large jobbing work

- Exposure to machining of 1t – 12t gear boxes

- Interest in programming and process improvement

- Experience with automation/robotics

- Positive problem-solving skills and team attitude

- Australian trade qualification

- Driver's licence
