ConsultANZ is looking for an experienced Piling Superintendent – Foundations to support high-profile projects across the greater Wellington and Southern Region. Our client is a leading specialist in piling and ground engineering, offering a chance to lead some of the most technically advanced and career-defining projects in New Zealand.

About You

- Extensive experience in piling and foundation construction across complex projects
- Practical knowledge of contemporary piling methods and ground improvement techniques (marine piling, bored piling, driven piles, mini piling, CFA, DFA, anchoring)
- Skilled in managing teams, resources, and site documentation
- Collaborative leader who can mentor and develop high-performing crews
- Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills

Key Responsibilities

- Lead multiple single-rig piling crews or large multi-rig projects across the region
- Ensure all activities meet project quality, safety, and engineering standards
- Manage foundations plant, labour resources, and temporary works installations
- Provide technical advice for project planning and execution
- Monitor progress, resolve issues, and drive project performance




- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and project teams
- Track project changes and support reporting on costs, quality, and productivity

Requirements

- 10+ years’ post-graduate experience in civil construction or engineering
- Proven background in piling, ground engineering, or foundations work
- Strong leadership experience with direct supervision of construction teams
- Commitment to Zero Harm, safety, and environmental excellence
- Adaptable and effective in dynamic, fast-paced environments
