Parkview Constructions is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our team and take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of major high-rise construction projects across Sydney.
This is a senior site-based role for a strong construction leader who can confidently manage site operations, people, subcontractors and resources, while working closely with the Project Manager to deliver projects safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest standard.
As Site Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful day-to-day operation of your site. You will lead from the front, drive productivity and quality, and create a well-organised and positive site environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage all day-to-day site operations, with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity and program delivery.
- Manage, mentor and develop site teams, including Leading Hands and Sub-Foremen participating in our training and development program.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor construction activities to maximise productivity and ensure resources are used efficiently.
- Drive quality outcomes and ensure works comply with approved plans, specifications, building codes, legislation and relevant Australian Standards.
- Monitor and manage the construction program, providing regular updates and proactively addressing potential delays.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to manage operational issues impacting program, cost, quality or delivery.
- Coordinate site establishment, logistics and site operations to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Work collaboratively with subcontractors, consultants, clients, authorities and other key stakeholders to maintain strong professional relationships.
- Identify and resolve site issues early, taking ownership of problems and driving practical solutions.
- Promote a positive, accountable and high-performing site culture.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a proven Site Manager who has the experience, leadership skills and commercial awareness to successfully manage a major high-rise project.
You will have:
- Certificate IV in Building & Construction (minimum).
- 6+ years' experience as a Site Manager, ideally on high-rise residential or commercial projects.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale projects valued at $50M+.
- Robust knowledge of construction legislation, regulations, building codes and Australian Standards.
- The ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings, identify issues and provide constructive design and buildability feedback.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, develop and hold site teams and subcontractors accountable.
- Excellent planning,
organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to make decisions and take ownership.
- The ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
