Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Chef at The Husk Bakery and Cafe, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring the highest level of quality and taste. You will work closely with our Head Chef and other team members to create and maintain our menu, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and customer requests

- Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standard of quality and taste

- Work closely with the Head Chef and other team members to develop and maintain menu offerings

- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and hygiene standards

- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff,



providing guidance and support as needed

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new techniques to continuously improve the menu offerings

- Assist with ordering and receiving of food and supplies as needed

Requirements:

- Certificate IV in cookery or above

- Minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

- Passion for creating high-quality food and providing exceptional service

- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Contract Details:

This is a full-time position with a salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The position also includes superannuation benefits. The successful candidate will be expected to work 38 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours during peak periods.
