Maxwell Recruitment and Training have been a specialist supplier of skilled labour into the heavy industry for over 15 years and currently have opportunities for 1st year Apprentice Carpenters.

Successful candidates will have a genuine interest in building and construction, will not be afraid to get their hands dirty and have a desire to learn current skills with the goal of becoming Trade Qualified, then progressing further post trade.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Assist in the construction, installation and maintenance of formwork, timber structures, framing, fix-outs and general carpentry works on commercial construction sites
n
- Work across various commercial construction projects throughout Newcastle, Central Coast and Hunter Valley
n
- Follow site safety procedures and protocols
n
- Shadow experienced Tradespeople and support the team with daily site tasks
n
- Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling and installing materials under supervision
n

What We're Looking For:

n

n
- Genuine interest in Carpentry with a focus on getting a trade qualification
n

- Reasonable writing and computer skills, good level of Math and English
n
- Current Drivers' Licence
n
- Must have completed year 10 (as a minimum)
n
- Whitecard (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
