The RoleAn opportunity has become available for a Nurse Educator (Mental Health and Specialist Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You willDeliver, support and take a leadership role with the Mental Health Transition support programActively engage in quality activity and research projects and enable a culture of research mindednessPlan, develop, facilitate, implement and evaluate evidence based clinical education programs to meet services needsFacilitate the role development of others by succession planning, role modelling and mentoringAbout youTo be successful in this position you will require:A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalentRegistration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaCredentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)A Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirableEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of responsible discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)BenefitsFlexible work optionsCareer DevelopmentSalary PackagingModern FacilitiesDiverse Work CultureResearch Opportunities12.75% super17.5% leave loadingSalaryPermanent part time (40 hrs per fortnight)Base salary ranging from $70.92 - $77.00 per hourAbout UsThe Mental Health Education team consists of an Assistant Director of Nursing, Nurse Educators and Clinical Facilitators.
