We are currently seeking a full time Forklift Operator to join our Barnawartha team on day shift, working from 7:30am-3:30pm with overtime available.

n

Dutiesinclude however are not limited to the below tasks:

n

n




- Load and unload of trucks, trailers, containers, and rail wagons
n
- Sort and check freight against customer delivery paperwork
n
- Restrain loads as per the National Load Restraint Guide
n
- Palletise and pack loads
n
- Handle general and non standard freight
n
- Counterbalance forklift operation
n
- Heavy lifting and dunnage duties
n
- Securing and restraining loads in a secure manner as per operational requirements
n
- Perform vehicle pre-start checks
n
- Report all damage freight and shortages via the exception reporting process
n
- Perform general housekeeping of trailers, wagons and SCT's premises
n
- Complying with the Warehouse Traffic Management Plan
n
- Ensure compliance with all of SCT's policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation.

Desired Skills and Experience

n

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

n

n
- Current LF High Risk Work license.
n
- Experience operating a Forklift in a transit warehouse
n
- Knowledge & experience with load restraint procedures.
n
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility
n
- Team player
n
- Reliable and punctual
n

n

In return we offer a competitive hourly rate of $31.81 per hour with consistent hours and overtime available. This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday with immediate start available.
