With an experienced trade team and a strong reputation for quality workmanship, they're now looking to add a Welder to their busy workshop.

6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday to Friday schedule

Join an established, experienced trade team in a busy structural steel workshop

Hands-on welding role working with structural steel (mild steel)
n
What you'll be doing:
n
n
- MIG welding structural steel components to a high standard, following weld symbols and specifications
n
- Welding beams, columns, cleats, base plates and trusses that have been fitted and tacked up,
ready for weld-out
n
- Reading weld symbols and cutting lists to ensure the correct weld type, size and sequence
n
- Managing distortion control on larger fabrications during weld-out
n
- Working from tacked-up assemblies with minimal supervision
n
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and protected workshop
n

To be considered for this role:
n
n
- Ability to pass a practical weld test as part of the selection process
n
- Confident reading weld symbols and basic fabrication drawings
n
- Physically capable of sustained hands‐on trade work
n
- Background in structural steel welding highly regarded
n
- Overhead crane, forklift, or dogging/rigging tickets highly regarded but not essential
