About the Role
n
As a Light Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of passenger and light commercial vehicles.
n
You will work as part of a busy, structured workshop team with a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, productivity and customer satisfaction. Salary is based on experience; compensation package negotiable.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and general mechanical repairs
n
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and vehicle system faults
n
- Completing repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures
n
- Following manufacturer warranty, repair and documentation requirements
n
- Inspecting, repairing and replacing worn or faulty parts
n
- Completing routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, adjustments and tune-ups
n
- Carrying out engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake and driveline repairs
n
- Maintaining accurate job notes, reports and repair documentation
n
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and workshop cleanliness
n
- Working with the workshop team to meet productivity and turnaround targets
n
About You
n
- Qualified Light Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
n
- Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent
n
- Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience preferred
n
- Dealership or manufacturer experience highly regarded, but not essential
n
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
n
- Confident working with both mechanical and electrical systems
n
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
n
- Strong time management and ability to work in a structured workshop setting
n
- Reliable team player with a positive attitude
n
- Current open manual driver's licence essential
n
