Clinical Coordinator
Smile Studio Newstead | Full time (4-5 days) (Must be a Friday)
Smile Studio Newstead is a boutique cosmetic and general dental practice in the heart of Newstead. We work with digital scanning, explicit aligner therapy, cosmetic dentistry and early intervention orthodontics, and we are looking for a Clinical Coordinator to join our small, close knit team.
This role suits an experienced dental assistant ready for the next step. You will still be chairside and hands on, but with added responsibility for how the clinical side of the practice runs day to day.
What the role involves
Chairside assisting across general, cosmetic and orthodontic procedures
3D intraoral scanning (iTero) for aligner, restorative and appliance cases
Coordinating clinical workflow, surgery set up and turnover
Managing stock, ordering and supplier liaison
Infection control and sterilisation oversight in line with practice policy
Supporting treatment planning documentation and case coordination
Liaising with laboratories and specialists on case progress
Some administrative duties including scheduling support, patient follow up and record keeping
What we are looking for
Solid dental assisting experience in a general or cosmetic practice
Confidence with digital scanning, or a genuine willingness to learn
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Warm, professional communication with patients and team
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the clinical space
Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is well regarded but not essential
Advantageous
Dental laboratory experience or an interest in lab work and materials
Experience with clear aligner workflows
Familiarity with Dentally practice management software
