As Wholesale Sales Manager, you'll lead the sales operation of a high-volume automotive wholesaler. You'll lead a team of 7 wholesale salespeople, manage and expand our national dealer network, drive sales performance and ensure stock is priced, sold, paid for and moved quickly. This is a genuine leadership position with significant earning potential and the opportunity to play a major role in the next stage of our growth.

Key responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop our team of 7 wholesale salespeople
- Drive sales volume, gross profit and overall team performance
- Manage our existing national dealer network while actively developing new accounts
- Build strong relationships with Used Car Managers, Buyers and Dealer Principals
- Work closely with our buying team to ensure vehicles are priced correctly for the wholesale market
- Maintain fast turnaround from stock arrival to quote, sale, payment and transport
- Identify aged stock early and implement strategies to keep inventory moving
- Maintain strong dealer payment discipline and debtor performance
- Oversee the day-to-day flow between sales, yard operations, transport and accounts
- Use WAR ROOM, our purpose-built wholesale management platform, to manage stock, quotes, offers, dealers, sales performance and gross in real time

About you

- Genuine automotive experience and understanding of how the used-car market works




- Experience in vehicle wholesale, used-car management, buying and valuing, auctions or high-volume automotive sales
- Understanding of LMCT, PPSR, trade values, landed costs, dealer margins, aged stock and gross profit
- Successfully led and developed salespeople
- Ability to motivate a team and hold people accountable
- Confident in pricing and negotiating vehicles
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to build long-term relationships with dealersCan protect margin while maintaining strong stock turn
