Total Tools Hervey Bay is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our team in a part-time capacity. Based in Hervey Bay, QLD, this role offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic retail environment where you'll help customers find the tools and products they need. As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our store, delivering outstanding customer service and contributing to a positive shopping experience that keeps customers returning to Total Tools.

What you'll be doing

n

Greeting customers warmly and providing assistance in locating products throughout the store

n

Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale

n

Answering customer enquiries about product features, specifications and availability

n

Maintaining store displays and ensuring merchandise is well-organised and clearly priced

n

Restocking shelves and keeping the sales floor clean and presentable

n

Supporting the team with stock management and inventory control

n

Building positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business

n

Following company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment

n

Contributing to achieving store sales targets through excellent customer engagement

n

What we're looking for

n

Proven experience as a Sales Assistant, retail associate or similar customer-facing role

n

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers and explain product perks clearly

n

Excellent customer service orientation with a genuine desire to help people find solutions

n





Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

n

Basic numeracy skills and experience with point-of-sale systems or till operations

n

Physical ability to lift, carry and move stock items throughout your shift

n

Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work the hours required for the part-time position

n

A positive attitude and willingness to learn about products and industry best practices

n

Preferred: Knowledge of tools, hardware or construction products would be advantageous

n
