Position: AI Tech Lead

n

Job Description:

n

10+ years of overall experience.

n

n
- Collaborate with the Business Engagement Lead to understand the business use case and translate requirements into a robust technical solution.
n
- Coordinate with the remote POD team (a dedicated group of engineers) to drive successful implementation of the solution.
n
- Lead the pod’s day-to-day development and technical decisions.
n
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the POD team, ensuring alignment with solution architecture and delivery goals.
n
- Translate product objectives into implementation plans and sprint goals.
n

Key Skills Required (Must Have)n n
- a. Python coding for backend APIs, optionally Nodejs, Typescript
n
- b. React.js – for front end
n
- c. AWS services – Server less with Lambda, API Gateway, Step functions, SQS, S3, DB (Postgre, SQL)
n
- d. CI/CD – Github actions, AWS CDK/Cloud Formation
n
- e. Understanding of various AWS services
n
- f. Provide technical leadership
n

Additional skills:n n




- • Proficient in Node.js and Python (or Type script)
n
- • Robust experience with AWS services for building and deploying applications
n
- • Database design expertise and hands-on experience working with various databases
n
- • Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines
n
- • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and best practices
n
- • Solid understanding of AWS cloud architecture
n
- • Practical knowledge of implementing agentic AI for business use cases

Engineering & Architecturen n
- • Strong experience with cloud-native development, including secure handling of secrets, environment variables, and service configurations.

- • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines for AI systems and microservices.
n
- • Familiarity with team-based access control, code ownership, and repository governance.
n
- • Skilled in modern programming languages and infrastructure-as-code practices.
n
- • Ability to manage API specifications and service integrations across platforms.

Leadership & Collaboration Expectationsn n
- • Ability and willingness to collaborate with Perth based Engagement Lead daily supporting the discovery phase of initiatives

- • Lead technical design decisions and resolve blockers across pods.
n
- • Manage code reviews, shared modules, and ensure engineering consistency.
n
- • Drive agile development practices including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and velocity tracking.
n
- • Foster a culture of growth mindset, technical excellence, encouraging experimentation, learning from failure, and continuous improvement.
n
- • Support onboarding and mentoring of developers and AI engineers.
n
- • Engage with business stakeholders when needed (Inform Engagement Lead).
n

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Expectationsn n
- • Work closely with the Tech Chapter Lead and Engagement Lead to align technical decisions with the AI platform strategy, business goals, and cross-team dependencies.

- • Represent the pod in technical forums, showcases, and architecture reviews.
n
- • Communicate risks, trade-offs, and technical constraints clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
n
- • Ensure timely updates to the Engagement Lead on technical decisions and stakeholder conversations.
n

Security & Compliancen n
- • Awareness of enterprise data privacy and cybersecurity standards.
n
- • Responsible handling of user interactions and logs, with clear boundaries for data retention and observability.
n

Tooling & Observabilityn n
- • Use of observability tools for tracing, logging, and performance monitoring.
n
- • Familiarity with API testing and authentication flows across service layers
