The Traffic Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the flow of work across our agency, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time and to a high standard. The role is responsible for managing workflows, allocating resources, monitoring deadlines and identifying potential bottlenecks before they impact delivery. Working closely with Client Service, Creative, Strategy, Production and other agency teams, they are the central point of coordination that keeps projects moving.
In this role, you'll be...
Resourcing and Trafficking
- Manage the day-to-day workflow and traffic of projects across the agency.
- Allocate briefs and projects to the appropriate teams and individuals based on capacity, skills and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate project schedules, timelines and status updates.
- Monitor workloads and resource capacity across creative, production, strategy and account teams.
- Identify potential delays, resourcing issues and workflow bottlenecks and proactively resolve them.
- Work closely with Client Services and Operations to ensure projects are appropriately scoped, scheduled and resourced.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, balancing urgent requests with planned work.
- Ensure teams have clear briefs, deadlines, priorities and required information before work commences.
- Facilitate daily or weekly workflow meetings as required.
- Track project progress and communicate changes, risks and dependencies to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure deadlines are realistic and agreed across all relevant teams.
- Manage last-minute requests and shifting priorities while minimising disruption to existing workflows.
Operational Rigour
- Help maintain efficient agency processes, SOPs and ways of working.
- Maintain, improve and train project management systems and tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, collaboration and quality of delivery.
- Support the leadership team with visibility of agency capacity, utilisation and upcoming workload.
- Oversee and manage freelancer requirements, communications and documentation.
