Job Description
Ready to step off the tools and take command of a high-tech facility control room? We are currently seeking a sharp, technically minded BMS Operator to join the core Facilities Management team at a major hospital precinct in Woolloongabba.

This high-impact, "eye in the sky" role puts you at the controls of critical, life-sustaining healthcare infrastructure. Starting with a guaranteed 6-month initial contract, this position offers immediate stability with a high likelihood of extension or a direct transition into a permanent public sector career.

The Work
n
Serving as the central operational hub for the campus, you will monitor, command, and optimise the vital systems that keep the hospital running 24/7.
n
n
- System Oversight: Monitor head-end Building Management Systems (BMS)
to maintain strict HVAC, pressure, and temperature thresholds across critical clinical zones.
n
- Rapid Response & Triage: Identify system anomalies, triage incoming alarms, and dispatch on-site trade teams (electricians, fitters, plumbers) for swift field resolution.
n
- Emergency Escalation: Direct communication protocols during utility interruptions or plant outages to protect essential services.
n
- Shift Continuity: Maintain accurate digital logs, track asset compliance, and deliver seamless shift handovers to preserve site continuity.
n

What You Need
n
We are tracking for a calm, analytical operator with a solid mechanical or electrical background who thrives when system alarms activate.
n
n
- Trade Background: Mechanical or Electrical trade (Fitter, HVAC Technician, Electrician, or Plumber) highly regarded.
n
- Control Room Experience: Demonstrated history as a BMS Operator or within a complex industrial/commercial control room environment.
n
- Technical Intelligence: Deep understanding of how HVAC, building automation, and hydraulic networks interact across large campuses.
n
- Bonus Ticket: A current Boiler Ticket is highly advantageous and will put you at the top of the list!
n
- Pre-Employment Compliance: Willingness to undergo a National Police Check, Construction White Card, and supply Hepatitis B immunisation records.
