About the Role

n

As an After Hours Building Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for reactive maintenance, minor repairs, building fabric maintenance, and small works across the hospital facility. Working independently during after-hours operations, you'll help ensure the hospital remains safe, functional, and compliant for patients, visitors, and staff.

n

Responsibilities include:

n

- General building maintenance and handyman duties
n
- Basic carpentry, patching, painting, plaster repairs, and minor building works
n
- Maintenance of doors, ceilings, partitions, fixtures, and finishes
n
- Responding to urgent maintenance requests and breakdowns
n
- Conducting building inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
n
- Supporting compliance and asset maintenance programs
n
- Coordinating specialist contractors when required
n
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service
n

About You

n

We're looking for a practical, self-motivated maintenance professional who can confidently work autonomously and prioritise tasks in a live healthcare environment.

n





You will have:

n

n
- Experience in building maintenance, handyperson, facilities maintenance, or multi-trade roles
n
- Skills across carpentry, patching, painting, plastering, tiling, and general repairs
n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
n
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
- Ability to work safely and professionally in a regulated workplace
n
- Current Driver's Licence
n
- White Card (essential)
n

n

Highly Regarded

n

n
- Experience working in hospitals, healthcare, aged care, or complex facilities
n
- EWP or High Risk Boom Licence
n
- Basic plumbing or electrical knowledge
n
- Experience completing minor fit-outs and small projects
n
- Ability to work in plant rooms, confined spaces, and at heights
n
