O.A Painting & Decorating is looking for a reliable and motivated 1st, 2nd or 3rd-Year Apprentice Painter to join our team full-time.
We are an Illawarra-based painting business completing high-quality new builds, residential repaints, renovations and commercial projects throughout the region.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to properly learn the trade, develop their skills and build a long-term career in painting and decorating.
THE ROLE
You’ll be involved in all stages of painting and decorating, including:
- Preparing and protecting work areas
- Sanding, patching, filling and caulking
- Brush and roller application
- Learning spray-painting techniques
- Painting walls, ceilings, doors, trims and exterior surfaces
- Working across new builds, repaints, renovations and commercial projects
- Keeping worksites, tools and equipment clean and organised
As your skills develop, you’ll be given more responsibility and the opportunity to complete a wider range of work.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is reliable, punctual and ready to work
- Takes pride in their work and has strong attention to detail
- Is willing to learn, follow instructions and improve
- Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
- Is physically fit and comfortable working from ladders and scaffolding
- Holds a valid driver’s licence and has reliable transport
- Holds a current Construction White Card
Previous painting or construction experience is beneficial but not essential for a 1st-year applicant. Existing apprentices must be able to provide details of their current apprenticeship and completed training.
