The Rolen
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Engineer to play a key role in evolving our product range and leading new product development. Reporting to the Head of Product Design & Engineering, you’ll help deliver engineering excellence, continuous design improvement, and world-class products that create exceptional customer experiences on the water.
n
You’ll work closely with design, production, quality, supply chain, and external partners, owning products from concept through to production and beyond.
What You’ll Be Doingn
n
- Develop detailed CAD designs and comprehensive engineering documentation
n
- Perform FEM/FEA and tolerance analyses to support robust design decisions
n
- Plan and execute design validation testing and prototyping
n
- Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles and support production implementation
n
- Lead process validation activities and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
n
- Prepare and facilitate Design and Process FMEAs
n
- Investigate and resolve product and manufacturing issues
n
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver projects on time and within budget
n
What We’re Looking Forn n
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
n
- 10+ years’ professional engineering experience, including 3+ years in a comparable senior role
n
- Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
n
- Strong experience across full NPD lifecycle — concept to production
n
- Deep understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and part specification
n
- Working knowledge of FEA and tolerance analysis
n
- Experience with CNC machining and injection moulding
n
- Composites experience is advantageous
n
- Solid analytical mindset with creative problem-solving skills
n
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable owning complex engineering challenges
n
- Mechatronics experience
n
