Program Support Officer – AO3 | Queensland Government

Location: Buderim, QLD
Pay Rate: $56.72 per hour
Classification: AO3.4
Duration: 3 Years
Department: Transport and Main Roads – North Coast Region

An exciting opportunity is available for a proactive and highly organised
Program Support Officer to join the Governance and Design team within Stakeholder Management, North Coast Region .

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in providing high-quality administrative and operational support. You’ll play an important role in keeping systems, processes and people working together efficiently while supporting the delivery of transport and road infrastructure initiatives across the region.
The Role As the Program Support Officer, you will provide administrative, governance and operational support across the Stakeholder Management unit. You’ll manage competing priorities, coordinate correspondence and reporting, maintain key systems and records, and identify opportunities to improve business processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Jointly managing a high-volume shared inbox, triaging executive correspondence, enquiries and requests.
- Providing responsive administrative and operational support across the team.
- Developing, maintaining and improving databases, systems, reporting tools and communication channels.
- Supporting governance, compliance and record-keeping activities.
- Coordinating information for reports, dashboards and updates for senior stakeholders.
- Assisting with community engagement activities, stakeholder records and supporting materials.
- Building strong working relationships across the North Coast Region.
- Identifying process improvements and opportunities to increase business efficiency.
- Supporting projects and initiatives that strengthen systems, resources and ways of working.

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally demonstrate:

- Experience managing busy, high-volume inboxes and professional correspondence.
- Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the initiative to investigate and resolve issues.
- A customer-focused approach and genuine willingness to support others.
- Experience with governance, administration, databases and record-keeping processes.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and SharePoint .
- Robust communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A commitment to respect, inclusion and diversity in the workplace.

Highly Regarded

- Experience identifying or implementing process improvements and business efficiency initiatives.
- Previous experience or knowledge of Queensland Government or public sector processes and practices .
