Boilermaker / Plant Mechanic (Northern Beaches Workshop)

The Company & You:

Established manufacturer with a workshop on the Northern Beaches. Small team (25), mixed work, no two weeks the same. We’re open on background. Boilermakers with maintenance experience, plant mechanics, mechanical fitters, diesel fitters off the tools, if you enjoy welding, fabricating and pulling a machine apart, this would suit you.

What You'll Be Doing

- Fabrication, welding and repair work on plant and equipment
- Welding, fabrication, and assembling small, medium, and large industrial engineering equipment (frames & housing, motors & drives, rollers, conveyor belts, chutes, valves, panels, and switchboards)
- Mechanical fault-finding, strip-downs and rebuilds
- Build and commission the machinery




- Testing and calibrating components
- Reading drawings and working to spec
- Preventative maintenance across the workshop
- Working off your own initiative, you won't be micro-managed

You

- Trade qualified, boilermaker, fitter, plant mechanic or similar
- Comfortable with both welding and mechanical work
- Maintenance experience in a workshop or plant workplace
- Live on the Beaches or North Shore, or want to
- Enjoy working in a friendly, banter, but productive team environment
- Want to develop skills and understanding of unique machine operations.
