Fleet Lead – Light Vehicles
n
Adelaide, Sydney, or Brisbane

The role
n
Adbri is seeking an experienced Fleet Lead – Light Vehicles to manage the day-to-day operation of our national light vehicle fleet and associated fleet services.
n
Reporting to the Group Manager – Logistics and Transportation, this senior individual contributor role will oversee the full vehicle lifecycle, including procurement, allocation, maintenance, compliance, incident management, supplier performance and fleet reporting.
n
You will work across the business to ensure vehicles are safe, fit for purpose, available when needed and managed efficiently. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical business function, strengthen fleet governance and identify practical opportunities to improve utilisation, user experience and operating costs.

Responsibilities
n
n
- Manage the day-to-day operation of Adbri's light vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant and available to meet business requirements.
n
- Administer vehicle acquisition, allocation, replacement and disposal activities.
n
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to maximise availability and minimise downtime.
n
- Maintain fleet records, asset information, registrations, licences, inspections and other compliance documentation.
n
- Implement and maintain fleet policies, standards, procedures and governance controls.
n
- Manage vehicle incidents, insurance claims, investigations and associated reporting requirements.
n
- Promote safe driving practices and coordinate driver safety initiatives, training and awareness activities.
n
- Manage relationships with leasing providers, vehicle suppliers,
maintenance providers and other fleet service partners.
n
- Monitor supplier performance, service delivery and contract outcomes.
n
- Monitor fleet expenditure and support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
n
- Prepare regular fleet reporting covering utilisation, cost, compliance, safety and sustainability.
n
- Identify and implement improvements to fleet processes, systems and reporting.
n
- Support the introduction of fleet technology, telematics and low-emission vehicle initiatives.

What you will need to succeed
n
n
- Demonstrated experience in fleet management, asset management, logistics, transport operations or a related discipline.
n
- Strong knowledge of light vehicle operations, vehicle lifecycle management and fleet administration.
n
- Experience managing fleet suppliers, maintenance providers and vehicle procurement activities.
n
- Sound understanding of vehicle registrations, licensing, insurance, workplace health and safety obligations and relevant transport legislation.
n
- Financial acumen, including budget management, cost control, forecasting and fleet expenditure analysis.
n
- Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
n
- Experience using fleet management systems,
telematics platforms and business reporting tools.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to challenge non-compliance and influence positive outcomes.
n
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with solid organisation and attention to detail.
n
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
n
- Ability to undertake occasional travel to operational sites and offices across Australia.
n
n
A qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management or a related field will be highly regarded. Experience with fleet optimisation, low-emission or electric vehicle programs, and Chain of Responsibility principles is also desirable.
