The Role This is a hands-on account management role focused on building solid relationships with retailers, clubs, schools and commercial partners, identifying new business opportunities and delivering a high level of customer service throughout the sales and order lifecycle. As the key point of contact for WA retail accounts, you will be responsible for maintaining existing partnerships while driving sales growth and identifying opportunities to expand the business.Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and develop WA retail customer accounts
- Build strong relationships with retailers, clubs, schools and commercial partners
- Identify new sales and business development opportunities
- Manage licensed product sales to customers, retailers and AFL clubs
- Handle customer enquiries, quotations and orders
- Manage stock, custom football and indent orders
- Communicate stock availability, backorders and expected lead times
- Work closely with the warehouse to prioritise orders and distribution
- Conduct regular backorder reporting and customer follow-up
- Coordinate sales returns, warranty claims, replacements and repairs through Sage System
- Liaise with Accounts regarding payments, credits, account holds and stock release
- Assist with Eastern States customer enquiries when required
About You You will be an experienced Retail Account Manager who enjoys building relationships, growing accounts and providing excellent customer service.
Ideally, you will bring:
- 5+ years' experience in account management, sales or business development
- Experience managing retail or consumer-facing accounts
- A proven track record of revenue growth and customer retention
- Strong commercial negotiation and account planning skills
- Sound analytical, reporting and forecasting capabilities
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- A customer-focused and relationship-driven approach
- A strategic, growth-focused mindset
- Strong accountability and a results-driven attitude
- Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills
