An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Auto Electrician to join a well-established manufacturing and engineering operation in the Newcastle area.

This is a workshop-based position offering varied, hands‑on electrical work across custom vehicle builds, modifications and equipment fit‑outs .

Rather than routine servicing, you'll be involved in projects from initial electrical installation through to testing, fault finding and final completion.

The Role Responsibilities will include:

- Electrical fit-out of new vehicle builds and modifications
- Installation and wiring of 12V and 24V electrical systems
- Installation of lighting, batteries, auxiliary power and electrical accessories
- Building, installing and modifying wiring looms and harnesses
- Installation of electrical components and control equipment
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Electrical testing, diagnostics and fault finding
- Rectification and modification of existing electrical systems
- Working alongside mechanical, fabrication and production teams
- Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard

About You Ideally, you will have:





- Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician or equivalent
- Strong experience with 12V/24V DC electrical systems
- Experience with electrical fit‑out, wiring and fault finding
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience building or modifying wiring looms
- Experience with heavy vehicles, trucks, mobile equipment or custom vehicle builds would be advantageous
- Good fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a workshop environment
