About the role

A garage door company is looking for a reliable Sectional Door & Roller Door Service Technician/Installer to join our growing Perth team. This is a hands-on field service position covering residential, commercial and light industrial customers throughout the Perth metropolitan area. You will manage an allocated daily schedule, diagnose faults, complete repairs and preventative maintenance, and assist with installations when required.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnose, repair and service sectional, roller and commercial door systems, including motors and controls.

- Complete scheduled servicing, breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance.

- Replace springs, cables, hinges, rollers, tracks, bearings, seals and other mechanical components.

- Install new doors, motors and related components as allocated.

- Test completed work and provide customers with clear operating and maintenance instructions.

- Complete digital job records including notes, photos, parts used and customer approvals.

- Maintain company vehicles, tools and service stock.

- Follow company safety procedures, site requirements and manufacturer guidelines.

About you

- Experience servicing or installing garage doors, roller doors or similar mechanical systems.

- Strong mechanical fault-finding, practical problem-solving and competency with hand and power tools.

- Professional and customer-focused,



with the ability to work independently, manage a daily schedule and communicate job outcomes clearly.

- Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence and Construction White Card and Police Clearance.

- Reliable, punctual and strong attention to detail, with the physical capacity to safely perform manual, overhead and ladder-based work.

- Full Australian working rights.

- Experience with both residential and commercial door systems.

- Working at Heights certification, Elevated Work Platform licence or relevant High Risk Work Licence.

- Mechanical, electrical, fabrication or welding experience.

- Experience reading technical drawings and manufacturer instructions.
