Meeka Metals Limited (ASX:MEK) owns and operates Western Australia's newest gold mine – the Murchison Gold Project, located 50 km north of Meekatharra.
The project comprises both open pit and underground mining, with an initial mine life of 10 years. Gold production commenced in July 2025 and site activities are rapidly ramping up.
We are seeking an Experienced Occupational Hygienist & Environmental Officer to support the Health, SDafety and Environemnt team onsite.
About the Role
The role will be responsible for coordinating, managing and executing the below key activities:
- Coordinate hygeine monitoring for a surface and underground mining operation
- Perform the function of a Statuory Noise and Mine Air Quality Officer
- Carry out water testing monthly
- Complete environmental (vegetation, water etc) checks under the guidance of a Environmental Officer
- Assist the health and safety team with adhoc works outside the scope described above
About You
- Experience in a similar role
- Ability to perform hygeine testing on a mine site without any guidance
- Strong attention to detail and sample quality control
- Good communication skills and ability to work with geologists and operators
- Current (less than 6 months old) National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
