Job Summary

A Southern WA hospital is looking for a Senior Medical Officer for Emergency Department/General Practice covering the period from 23/05/2026 to 21/07/2026. The role includes coverage of multiple blocks throughout the period.

Responsibilities

- Attend 0800 - 1800 or 1500-2300 ED and inpatient shifts, including some overnight on‑call from 2300-0800 with car CAT 1 presentations.
- Provide emergency care and general practice services to the hospital and local community.
- Work within a 10‑bed acute ward and a 22‑bed residential care facility.
- Co‑ordinate with hospital teams to ensure high quality patient care.

Location & Schedule

Fremantle & Inner Southern Suburbs, WA. Accommodation and travel are provided.

Compensation

Rate: AUD $2,600 per day.

Qualifications & Requirements

Emergency experience essential. Candidates must be registered with AHPRA and have the Right to Work in Australia.
