Job Description
Pointe Engineering is a specialist ground improvement contractor. We're experts in drilling and grouting to control water and stabilise ground for major infrastructure like dams, tunnels and mines.
n
Our work often takes us where others can't go — steep slopes, tight sites, and remote locations. That means limited-access geotechnical drilling off ropes, using specialist equipment and a small crew that knows how to get the job done safely and efficiently.
n
We're now looking for a Rope Access Technician to join our slope stabilisation team. If you like working outdoors, tackling tough jobs, and building skills that few others have, this role is for you.
n
What You Need to Be
n
n
- IRATA Level 1 minimum (500hrs+ minimum). Level 2 and 3 strongly desirable
n
- Drilling & off siding experience, excavator mounted drill rigs and a-frame skids (TH & DH knowledge)
n
- Micropile and catch fence experience, highly regarded
n
- Grout mixing experience, highly regarded
n
- Experience with geotechnical work: scaling, drilling, shotcrete, steel fixing, tension mesh, gabion cages/mattresses etc
n
- Physically fit, healthy, and ready for outdoor work in challenging environments
n
- Confident working on ropes, slopes, and in rugged terrain
n
- Organised with paperwork and basic technology (reporting, safety compliance, daily logs)
n
- A team player who's not afraid to step in and help wherever needed
n
n
What You Need to Have
n
n
- White Card
n
- Work at Heights certification
n
- National Police Clearance
n

n

n
n
What You Can Expect
n
n
- Work in a tight-knit crew with supervisors who are hands-on and lead from the front
n
- Exposure to specialist limited-access drilling off ropes and slope stabilisation methods that few companies in Australia deliver
n
- A safe, supportive work setting where safety is never compromised
n
- Opportunities to broaden your skills across multiple trades and grow with a fast-moving, high-impact company
n
- It's a chance to get involved in specialist geotechnical construction and build a trade career while working on some of the toughest and most rewarding projects in the industry.
