On behalf of our client, a major Australian energy and resources leader playing a pivotal role in the region's energy transition, we are seeking a skilled Sourcing Specialist to power their talent discovery engine.

Location & Work Style:

Hybrid arrangement (2 days per week in-office) based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne.

Contract Length:

Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension.

How you will contribute

In this key role, you will be the primary engine behind proactive candidate discovery. Sitting at the forefront of talent intelligence, you will translate complex technical job requirements into targeted search strategies, engaging passive, high-caliber talent across mission-critical energy, tech, and engineering sectors.

Your typical day includes

- Strategic Intake & Search Mapping: Partner with recruiters and client hiring managers to run intake sessions, define accurate screening criteria, and build comprehensive Master Sourcing Plans.
- Advanced Talent Discovery: Execute deep web searches, boolean logic, pattern recognition, and social media mining to identify hidden passive talent across specialized databases and networks.
- Candidate Engagement & Screening: Conduct qualitative screenings, assess organizational fit,



and craft detailed candidate profile summaries to position top talent effectively.
- Market Research & Reporting: Deliver real-time talent supply data, market trends, and pipeline tracking to drive data-informed talent decisions.

Your background & capabilities

- Sourcing Expertise: Proven track record in candidate identification, complex search string development, and talent mapping within fast-paced RPO, energy/resources, tech, or technical engineering environments.
- Tool & Database Proficiency: Deep knowledge of ATS, job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, and advanced open-web research techniques.
- Analytical & Resilient Mindset: Strong pattern recognition abilities, attention to detail, and a focus on quality execution in a dynamic setting.
- Relationship Building: Collaborative approach with a customer-centric focus to work seamlessly alongside global talent acquisition teams.
