The Purpose

n

Based in Sydney, the Risk in Change Manager position is a 12 month max term contract role that sits within the Line 1 Business Risk Hub and works closely with Group Risk and Business Risk teams to deliver Risk in Change outcomes.

n

The Risk in Change Specialist leads Risk in Change activities across key initiatives, ensuring strategic, operational, and technological changes are effectively assessed and managed for both delivery and post-implementation risk. The role requires robust experience in risk management, change, and project environments, with a demonstrated ability to lead Risk in Change for complex initiatives and mitigate change-related risks.

As part of a small, flat organisation, this is a hands-on role involving close,



day-to-day collaboration across functions to identify and mitigate risks in line with the organisation's risk appetite and strategy.

Core Accountabilities

Risk in Change

n

- Lead Risk in Change assessments across all programs
n
- Identify, prioritise, and mitigate delivery and change risks
n
- Embed risk practices into project and change frameworks
n

n

Advisory & Governance

n

n
- Advise senior leaders on risk impacts of programs and transformations
n
- Deliver concise risk reporting and recommendations
n
- Monitor and adjust mitigation strategies
n

n

Continuous Improvement

n

n
- Enhance Risk in Change processes and capability
n
- Embed best practice across delivery teams
n

n

Regulatory Engagement

n

n
- Support RBA engagement on material changes
n
- Review and contribute to regulatory submissions
n

n

Experience And Capability

n

n
- Minimum 7 years' experience in risk management, with strong expertise in a line 1 Risk in Change Manager role
n
- Demonstrated success managing complex change initiatives and mitigating delivery risk
n
- Experience in technology-enabled programs; payments or financial services experience highly regarded
n
- Strong analytical capability, strategic judgement, and attention to detail
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including executive-level reporting
n
- Solid working knowledge of risk and change management frameworks, tools, and methodologies
n
- Relevant tertiary qualification in risk, finance, business, or a related discipline; professional certifications preferred
n
- Experience delivering projects with complex dependencies, third-party integration, and regulatory engagement
n
