Three months ago we brought on a graduate to support delivery across our project portfolio. That role worked - well enough that we're now doing it again.

We're not backfilling. We're growing, our pipeline has grown with us, and we need another sharp graduate on the ground.

Datlas is a residential and commercial builder based in Mosman, delivering projects right across Sydney. We're a lean team, which means two things: you'll be given real responsibility early, and there's nowhere to hide. Both are the point.

Working across both residential and commercial is the part worth paying attention to if you're a graduate. Most builders will put you on one project type and leave you there. Here you'll see how a residential build differs from a commercial fitout - different clients, different programmes, different subcontractor bases, different ways a job goes wrong. Three years in, that breadth is what separates the people who can run a job from the people who can only run their job.

What you'll actually be doing

n





You'll sit alongside our Project Managers and Site Managers as a genuine part of the delivery team:

- Coordinating construction activities on live sites, day to day
n
- Chasing, reviewing and comparing subcontractor quotes through the procurement process
n
- Managing project documentation - drawings, RFIs, scopes of work
n
- Tracking progress against programme, cost and quality, and reporting on it
n
- Liaising directly with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
n
- Supporting variations, claims and cost tracking
n
- Attending site meetings, capturing minutes and chasing the action items to closure
n
- Keeping project records accurate and organised in Procore
n
- Supporting defect inspections and project close-out
n
- Upholding WHS requirements and site standards, every day
n

Who we're looking for

n

Essential

n

n
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field - completed or nearing completion
n
- A current driver's licence
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- Explicit verbal and written communication - you'll be dealing with subbies, consultants and clients from week one
n
- Genuine attention to detail
n
- A developing ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
n
- Working proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
n
- A proactive attitude and real appetite to learn
n
- Exposure to Procore, Aconex or similar
n
- Site experience of any kind - cadetship, labouring, a family business, anything
n
