About the Role
n
Based at our Lane Cove Community Access HUB and as a Community Access Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants both in the community and at our day program. You will primarily provide 1:1 support while encouraging independence, community participation and skill development. Key responsibilities include:
n

- Supporting participants to achieve their individual goals.
n
- Delivering active support that promotes independence and choice.
n
- Assisting participants to build and maintain meaningful social connections.
n
- Implementing Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
n
- Safely supporting participants who display behaviours of concern.
n
- Managing behaviours proactively and safely within the community and while transporting participants.
n
- Providing protected transport to and from community activities using a company vehicle.
n
- Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the wider support team.
n
n
Who We're Looking For
n
n
- Experienced supporting individuals with behaviours of concern.
n
- Confident implementing restrictive practices in accordance with Behaviour Support Plans and organisational policies.
n
- Knowledgeable in Positive Behaviour Support and trauma-informed practice.
n
- Engaging, enthusiastic and able to motivate participants.
n
- Emotionally resilient, calm under pressure and able to respond professionally in challenging situations.
n
- Reliable, proactive and committed to delivering exceptional support.
n
- Comfortable working independently while remaining a collaborative team member.
n
- Availability Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm.
n
- Previous disability support experience.
n
- Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours.
n
- Understanding of Behaviour Support Plans and restrictive practices.
n
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and confidence driving participants.
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
n
- Current First Aid & CPR.
n
