We're partnering with one of Australia's leading engineering consultancies to recruit an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing Data Centre team in Melbourne.

n

This is an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in delivering some of Australia's most technically challenging and high-profile data centre projects, working alongside nationally recognised technical leaders in a cooperative, multidisciplinary environment.

The Opportunity

n

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll lead the mechanical design and delivery of mission-critical facilities from concept through to completion. You'll work closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver creative, resilient and sustainable solutions for hyperscale and enterprise data centres.

n

You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, strengthen client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of a rapidly expanding sector.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Lead projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support.
n
- Design critical HVAC and cooling systems for mission-critical environments.
n
- Collaborate with electrical, hydraulic,



fire and structural engineering teams.
n
- Engage directly with clients and contractors throughout project delivery.
n
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence across the business.
n

About You

n

You'll likely have:

n

n
- 6+ years' experience in mechanical building services engineering.
n
- Exposure to data centres, mission-critical facilities or other technically demanding sectors such as healthcare, defence or major commercial developments.
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Chartered status or progress towards chartership will be highly regarded.
n
