Moyne Health Services invites applications from qualified Chefs to join our Food Services team on an ongoing Part Time or Casual basis.

About the Role

As a Chef @ MHS you will:

- Plan, prepare and serve a menu of nutritious meals which are appropriate to a variety of age groups and health status.
- Assist to plan, develop and provide a menu on a weekly basis in accordance with current Food Safety regulations and Moyne Health Services' Food Safety Plan.
- Supervise and support staff in the provision of meals to residents, patients, staff, community members and volunteers.
- Ensure the cleaning of equipment, kitchen and storage areas is undertaken according to cleaning schedule.
- Maintain the kitchen setting and equipment in a safe and hygienic manner in accordance with Food Safety regulations, reporting any issues to the Head Chef.
- Assist in keeping accurate records including purchase orders, supplier invoices, Meals on Wheels documentation and routine updates.

About You

Minimum qualifications

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Food Handler (Basic) HLTFS7B
- Folllowing Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate

Key Selection Criteria

- Experience in food preparation and presentation of meals
- Experience in staff supervision in a food preparation/service situation
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusastic and self motivated
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to manage workloads in an allotted timeframe
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative
