⭐Seeking a Part-time Accounts Payable Officer⭐

The Role

This role supports the financial and commercial team, working closely with the Head of Finance & Commercial to ensure financial processes and systems align with Best Lives’ strategy. You will assist in maintaining strong governance and consistent financial practices. Preferred working hours are Tuesday to Friday, totalling 22.8 hours per week, with some flexibility for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable transactions, including supplier payments, ensuring accurate coding and allocation to cost centres and projects

- Reconcile bank accounts, corporate cards and petty cash, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records

- Prepare and deliver timely financial reports, analysis and insights to the Head of Finance & Commercial

- Provide payroll backup support, including timesheet processing, employee records, and responding to payroll queries

- Maintain and reconcile financial schedules, including bonds, deposits, clearing accounts and insurance records

- Liaise with suppliers and respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner

- Support compliance with financial policies, procedures and legislative requirements, including audit preparation and government reporting

- Identify,



escalate and support resolution of financial risks promptly, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and procedures

- Prepare and post journals, including prepayments and accruals, ensuring accurate financial period reporting

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications & Licences

- Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting (or equivalent)

- NDIS Workers Screening check (or ability to obtain one)

- Current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one)

- Valid ‘C’ class driver’s licence (essential)

Skills & Knowledge

- Strong understanding of employment barriers and support strategies.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

- Knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance standards.

- Competency in maintaining confidentiality and data security.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

- Proficiency with CRM systems and IT tools for reporting and record keeping.

- Risk identification and management skills.

Experience

- Experience working in a team orientated collaborative environment.

- Minimum of 2 year experience working with financial software packages such as Xero.

- Experience working for a for purpose organisation.
