About the role
The NDIS Service Coordinator provides day-to-day leadership to the NDIS team. This role ensures team effectiveness, participant outcomes, and compliance with NDIS standards.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the NDIS team
- Conduct inductions for new team members
- Ensure team members are meeting targets
- Escalate performance management concerns to the Service Manager and/or Managing Director
- Complete risk assessments and ensure incidents are reported
- Assist with recruitment as requested by the Service Manager and/or Managing Director
- Work closely with the Service Manager and Intake Coordinators to identify potential opportunities for expanding reach and potential clients in the NDIS sector
- Build a strong and respected local network of relevant service providers in the community
- Act as the first point of contact for new clients
- Liaise with NDIS Local Area Coordinators
About you
- Minimum 5 years experience leading a NDIS team
- Demonstrated understanding of NDIS practice standards and the NDIS code of conduct
- Demonstrated capability in providing direct support to participants through assisting, supporting, coaching, mentoring and training in the area of lifestyle skills
- Provision of a creative, flexible, person-centred approach
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with key stakeholders
- Ability to establish and work collaboratively within a team setting
- Strong organisational skills that facilitate prioritisation, meeting deadlines and multi-tasking
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills that embrace a diverse range of stakeholder interests
- Minimum of a Cert IV in Disability, Mental Health or Community Services, or other health related field
- Current unrestricted Australian or International driver's licence and access to a car
