Our client is a fast-growing, global renewable energy company specialising in residential solar and battery energy storage solutions. They are seeking an experienced After-Sales Service Engineer to support the residential solar and battery business in Australia (Sydney).

This role is critical in ensuring system reliability, customer satisfaction, and the delivery of high-quality after-sales technical support across installed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1) After-Sales Technical Support

- Provide technical support for residential solar PV and battery energy storage systems via phone, email, and on-site service.
- Diagnose system faults, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Support installers and end customers with system operation, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.

2) Field Service & Commissioning

- Perform on-site commissioning, fault diagnosis, and system optimisation in accordance with Australian standards and safety requirements.
- Support warranty-related activities, including coordination of repairs, replacements, and spare parts.
- Conduct technical inspections and field service visits as required.

3) Customer Communication & Reporting

- Act as a skilled technical point of contact for customers and installation partners.




- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Prepare service reports and documentation, providing structured feedback on product performance and recurring issues.
- Collaborate with internal technical support, product, and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Participate in product training and ongoing technical development.
- Deliver technical guidance or after-sales training to installers and partners when required.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in after-sales service, technical support, or field service engineering within the residential solar and battery sector in Australia.
- Hands‑on experience with residential solar PV systems, inverters, and battery energy storage solutions.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage field-based activities.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar) is highly regarded.
