About the Opportunity
The Principal Evaluation Officer will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of evaluation, measurement and monitoring frameworks, and the delivery of evaluations and applied research relating to justice-related policies, programs, services and projects. The role generates high-quality evidence and insights to inform decision-making, strengthen accountability, drive continuous improvement, and improve outcomes, to support effective crime prevention, rehabilitation and victim-focused interventions across South Australia.
About the Business
Justice Policy and Analytics (JPA) supports the delivery of the strategic priorities of the Attorney-General and the Attorney-General's Department through the provision of high-quality policy advice and research, justice system strategy, stakeholder engagement, and data analytics.
The Justice Strategy and Funding (JSAF) team is one of three, high-performing teams within JPA. JSAF is responsible for administering funding under the National Access to Justice Partnership to South Australian legal assistance services and contributing to the development of national legal assistance policy. The team also administers funding from statutory funds for a variety of justice-related programs, including services and projects designed to benefit and support victims of crime, and to further crime prevention and offender rehabilitation objectives.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory.
