This is a hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. From preparing favorites for our regular service to creating dishes for functions, events and larger groups, you’ll be an important part of our kitchen and the experience we create for our guests. You’ll work alongside a friendly and supportive kitchen and front-of-house team, helping us deliver delicious food, excellent presentation and smooth service — even when things get busy.

Benefits Full-time, ongoing employment. Salary of $85,000 – $95,000 per annum. Creative input into menus, seasonal dishes and daily specials.

The opportunity to become an important part of a small, supportive hospitality team. A positive working environment with no late-night finishes. Task & responsibilities Preparing and cooking pub classics, tapas dishes, seasonal dishes and function menus to consistently high standards.

Assisting with menu planning and development, including seasonal dishes, specials and function menus. Monitoring food quality, presentation and portion control throughout preparation and service to ensure dishes consistently meet the venue’s standards. Estimating food requirements, monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering, inventory control and minimising food wastage.

Coordinating food preparation and kitchen workflow to ensure efficient service during busy periods, functions and events.



Providing guidance to other kitchen staff regarding preparation, cooking techniques, presentation and food safety. Catering for private functions, special events and larger groups.

Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, council and workplace health and safety requirements. Maintaining strong communication with the kitchen and front-of-house teams, particularly during busy services and functions. Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen and undertaking general kitchen duties as required.

Taking responsibility for daily kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared efficiently and service runs smoothly from preparation through to close. Building positive relationships with suppliers and supporting the sourcing of quality, fresh ingredients. Qualification & experience Relevant culinary or commercial cookery qualifications and/or substantial relevant Chef experience.

Experience working in a pub, bistro, tapas kitchen or similar busy hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations. Experience with menu development, stock control and functions.

The ability to remain organised and work effectively under pressure. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
