About the RoleClarity Partners is looking for an experienced Claims Broker to join a medium-sized, privately-owned Perth-based insurance brokerage specialising in SME, commercial and corporate insurance.
This is a newly established permanent leadership opportunity within the Claims function, overseeing a reasonable portfolio of active claims across General Insurance and Workers Compensation. With a team of two Claims Officers reporting to you, you will take ownership of the claims function while providing technical guidance, leadership and advocacy to ensure clients receive a high level of service throughout the claims lifecycle.
You will work closely with clients, insurers, assessors and internal stakeholders to manage complex claims, drive timely outcomes and continue to strengthen the team's claims processes and service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day operations of the Claims function and provide direction to the Claims teamManage and mentor two Claims Officers, providing technical guidance and supportOversee General Insurance and Workers Compensation claims, including complex and sensitive mattersAct as a senior point of escalation and advocate for clients throughout the claims processLiaise and negotiate with insurers, assessors, clients and internal stakeholders to drive timely outcomesEnsure claims are accurately documented, monitored and progressed in line with regulatory and industry requirementsMonitor claims performance,



workloads and outstanding mattersIdentify and implement opportunities to improve claims processes, systems and service delivery
About YouExperienced Claims Manager, Senior Claims Specialist or experienced Claims professional ready to step into a leadership roleStrong background in General Insurance claims, with Workers Compensation experience highly regardedDemonstrated experience managing a diverse claims portfolio across multiple claim typesStrong knowledge of the insurance claims lifecycle and insurer processesConfident communicator and negotiator with strong client advocacy skillsExcellent organisation, problem-solving and stakeholder management skillsHigh attention to detail with a strong focus on compliance and outcomesComfortable taking ownership of a function and driving continuous improvementRelevant insurance qualifications or industry training will be highly regardedPrior experience leading a small team is desirable, not essential
