We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a UX Writer in our Digital and Personalisation team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the words our members see across our digital products. You’ll create and optimise content that’s clear, accessible and easy to understand, helping members complete tasks with confidence and ease.

You’ll work side by side with designers, product managers and stakeholders to ensure content and design work seamlessly together. From simplifying complex information to testing and refining content based on user needs, you’ll bring a strong user centred mindset to everything you do.

This role is a 12-month max-term/secondment opportunity and is based in Brisbane.

Responsibilities

Day to day, you’ll:

- Create clear, user friendly content across web, mobile and digital applications.
- Translate complex concepts into plain language so members can easily understand and act.
- Conduct user research and content testing to improve clarity, comprehension and usability.
- Apply accessibility, readability and inclusive language best practices across all content.
- Optimise content using SEO best practice while keeping the user experience front of mind.
- Partner with designers to ensure content and design work together to solve user problems.




- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure content is accurate, approved and aligned to requirements.
- Champion best practice UX writing and content solutions across digital experiences.

Qualifications

It goes without saying you’ll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We’ll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It’s quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You have a relevant tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, journalism or UX writing.
- Your experience includes writing and editing content for web, mobile and digital products.
- You’ll bring a solid understanding of UX principles, content design and user centred design.
- You’re confident applying accessibility standards and inclusive language practices.
- You have the ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging content.
- Your attention to detail helps you deliver accurate, consistent work under pressure.
- You’ll be comfortable working with cross functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
- You’re familiar with SEO and CRO principles and using analytics to improve content performance.
- You have an interest in, or exposure to, emerging practices in AI search (e.g. Generative Engine Optimisation) and how content is structured for AI discovery.
