About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day financial operations of the school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Perform bank, credit card and general ledger reconciliations.
- Process payroll and associated compliance requirements.
- Assist with BAS preparation, month-end tasks and audit support.
- Respond to finance related enquiries from families, staff and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and processes.
- Contribute positively to the broader school community.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Bookkeeping,
Assistant Accountant, Accounts Officer or similar finance role;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- Sound knowledge of accounting processes and financial controls;
- Payroll experience (desirable);
- Experience using accounting and payroll systems;
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team;
- A willingness to support the wider school community when required.
Previous experience within a school or not-for-profit organisation is advantageous but not essential.
