About Us
Kailis Hospitality Group (KHG) is an award-winning, WA owned and operated hospitality group behind some of Perth's most loved coastal venues — The Shorehouse (2025 WAGFG Top 100), Gibney (2025 WAGFG Restaurant & Wine List of the Year, 2025 Gourmet Traveller Restaurant of the Year WA) and Magic Apple Wholefoods (WAGFG Top 100).
While each venue has its own identity, they are united by unforgettable service, flavour-driven food, thoughtfully curated beverage offerings and exceptional fit-outs, locations and views. At KHG, we foster a relaxed yet high-performing environment that nurtures talent, encourages growth and celebrates diversity.
Our people are at the heart of everything we do — the better our people, the better our venues. Whether you're on the floor, shaking cocktails, crafting menus or supporting the business behind the scenes, your contribution matters. Joining KHG means becoming part of a community of like-minded hospitality lovers, all driven by a shared goal: creating exceptional dining experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.
With plans underway for the highly anticipated Sorrento Beach Precinct, we're excited to offer an opportunity for a hands-on HR professional to join our People & Culture function, working closely with our Human Resources Manager across all things recruitment and HR support.
The Role
This is a part time Human Resources Officer role, reporting to the HR Manager and supporting the day-to-day people operations across the group. You'll be hands-on across recruitment, onboarding and general HR administration, helping ensure our teams are supported and set up for success as the business continues to grow.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Supporting the HR Manager with all things recruitment — advertising roles, screening applications, coordinating interviews and managing candidate communication
· Coordinating and delivering onboarding and induction for new starters across venues
· Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
· Assisting with day-to-day HR administration, correspondence and documentation
· Supporting workforce planning for existing venues and new venue openings
· Helping coordinate training, compliance and policy administration
· Providing general HR support to Heads of Department and team members
· Assisting with engagement, culture and retention initiatives
· 25 hours over 3-4 days (option for shorter days)
What We're Looking For
· Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (or working towards)
· 1 years' experience in an HR manager, support, coordination or officer-level role
· Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards (Restaurant Industry Award, desirable)
· Recruitment or talent acquisition experience, including screening and interview coordination
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups
· A proactive, can-do approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
· Ability to work autonomously, adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Why Join KHG
· Modern offices located in Cottesloe Central Shopping Centre with free parking
· Part-time role, $85,000-$90,000 (pro rata) with flexible working arrangements — supportive of school drop-offs, pick-ups and life commitments
· A collaborative, values-driven leadership team
· Genuine opportunities for progression as we continue to expand and build out our HR team
