This role supports one participant on the Gold Coast using a teach–prompt–fade capacity-building approach. You will provide direct support with genuine independence and autonomy, working across mornings, afternoons and overnights.
Key responsibilities
- Direct support using teach–prompt–fade capacity-building approach
- Proactive home management during quieter periods — cleaning, supply planning, stock audits (first aid, emergency, car safety kits, go-bags)
- Researching and pitching activities matched to the participant's interests
- Clear, accurate shift notes and documentation
About you
- Experience in mental health support and complex communication needs
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance + Blue Card
- First Aid & CPR
- NDIS Worker Orientation, Induction,
Safe Eating & Secure Communication modules
- Open Australian driver's licence
- Availability across mornings, afternoons and overnights
- Genuinely proactive — you spot what needs doing and do it
- Patient and resilient, with the ability to reset each day
- Comfortable working autonomously and staying in close contact with management
- An animal lover — cats (including one affectionate white cat), birds, fish, reptiles and scorpions are all part of the home
