SHD Care is expanding across the entire Gold Coast, Coomera down to the Tweed border, and everywhere in between, and we're not just looking for "support workers."

We're looking for legends .

The kind who shows up. The kind who stays calm when things get loud. The kind who understands that real support isn't about managing a behaviour, it's about understanding the person underneath it.

So... What's the Role?

You'll be a Support Worker (Legend) supporting participants with higher behaviour support needs, across the Gold Coast.

Translation?

- Follow a Behaviour Support Plan like it's gospel, because it is

- Stay steady when a morning goes sideways

- Read the room before it becomes a crisis

- Support someone to smash their goals, on their terms

- Turn de-escalation into an art form

- Be the calm in someone else's storm

- Be present in their life, not just on shift

The Shifts:

We run a mix of:

- SIL's

- Overnight support

- Assistance with Daily Living

- Community Participation

Whatever you're strongest at, there's a shift that fits it.

We have immediate shifts available across the whole strip, Northern Gold Coast, Central, Southern, all of it. We've already got a solid Gold Coast crew on the ground, and we're adding to it as the growth keeps coming. If you like being ahead of the curve, this is it.

Here's the truth: skills can be taught. Attitude can't.





We'd rather hire someone with zero experience and a great attitude than someone with all the ticks in the box and none of the patience.

You:

- Actually enjoy people, even on their worst day

- Bring energy, not just to the good shifts, the hard ones too

- Don't rattle easily

- Can hold a conversation without checking your phone (this is a non-negotiable)

- Show up when you say you will

- Understand that consistency builds trust, especially with clients who've had it broken before

- Follow a plan properly, every time, no shortcuts

- Are genuinely engaged, present, switched on, in it

Experience with complex or challenging behaviours? A big plus. The right attitude? Non-negotiable.

The Responsible (But Necessary) Bits:

You'll need:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Blue Card

- Police Check

- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)

- Driver's Licence & reliable car

- A genuine willingness to learn and follow Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) to the letter, this one's a must, no exceptions
