About Intoleran

Intoleran provides a specialised range of digestive enzyme and gut health products for people managing food intolerances and digestive concerns. Based in the Netherlands since 2008 and expanded into Australia in 2020, we are looking to increase awareness of our solutions.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a confident, self-motivated person to expand our relationships with healthcare professionals across Australia.

This is a predominantly work-from-home role combining healthcare outreach, education, relationship building and business development .

About the role

Your primary responsibility will be to proactively introduce Intoleran and our products to relevant healthcare professionals and practices, including:

- Dietitians and nutritionists

- Gastroenterologists

- General practitioners

- Naturopaths

- Pharmacists

- Allied health practices

- Gut health and digestive health clinics

- Other relevant healthcare professionals

This is a hands-on outreach role . You will identify suitable clinics, make initial contact by phone and email, follow up interested practices, provide information and samples, build professional relationships and arrange educational opportunities.

You may also deliver online or in-person product presentations, education sessions and Q&A; sessions to healthcare professionals and clinic teams.

Cold calling and proactive outreach are an important part of the role, so you must be comfortable speaking with healthcare professionals you have not previously contacted.

While the role has a clear business-development focus, we are not looking for a high-pressure salesperson. Our aim is to build genuine, long-term professional relationships through useful education, information and support.

Key responsibilities

- Research and identify relevant healthcare professionals and practices.

- Proactively contact prospective clinics by phone and email.

- Introduce Intoleran and explain our products and professional resources.

- Build and maintain relationships with interested practitioners.

- Arrange product samples and professional information.

- Follow up practitioners who have received samples or expressed interest.

- Arrange and deliver online or in-person education and Q&A; sessions.

- Encourage suitable practices to establish professional or wholesale accounts.

- Maintain an organised pipeline of prospective and active accounts.

- Record calls, emails, outcomes and follow-up requirements.

- Identify new partnership and business-development opportunities.

- Occasionally attend clinics, conferences, exhibitions and industry events.

Timekeeping and accountability

As this is a flexible work-from-home role, accurate timekeeping and activity recording are essential .

You will be required to:

- Submit an accurate weekly timesheet.

- Record calls, emails, follow-ups and other work completed.

- Maintain clear notes on practitioner conversations and account progress.

- Record samples sent, presentations arranged and new opportunities generated.

- Keep follow-up tasks up to date.

- Work towards agreed activity and performance expectations.

- Participate in regular progress reviews.

We offer considerable flexibility and independence, but this role is best suited to someone who is self-driven, productive and comfortable being accountable for both their time and results .

About you

Experience or qualifications in nutrition, dietetics or healthcare are highly regarded but not essential .

We are also interested in candidates with experience in:

- Healthcare or allied health

- Medical or pharmaceutical sales

- Pharmacy

- Nutrition or supplements

- Health-industry sales

- Business development

- Professional outreach or education

You may be a dietitian or nutritionist looking for a flexible non-clinical role, an allied health professional moving into industry, or someone with healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical or sales experience.

Most importantly, you will be:

- Confident and personable on the phone.

- Comfortable with cold calling and proactive outreach.

- Confident presenting information to healthcare professionals.

- Professional when communicating with practitioners and clinic staff.

- Interested in nutrition, digestive health and food intolerance.

- Able to understand health information and explain it clearly.

- Organised and persistent with follow-up.

- Comfortable working independently from home.

- Self-motivated and accountable.

- Commercially minded without taking a high-pressure sales approach.

- Confident using email, spreadsheets and basic online systems.

Qualifications or experience in dietetics, nutrition, pharmacy, nursing, naturopathy, allied health, medical sales or healthcare business development would be highly regarded.

Hours

This is a 12-month part-time contract of 15 hours per week .

Hours are flexible, although the majority will need to be worked during normal weekday business hours to allow contact with healthcare practices.

Ideally, hours will be spread across 3–4 weekdays to allow regular follow-up.

There may be an opportunity for the hours and responsibilities of the role to increase as our healthcare professional network grows.

Location

This is predominantly a work-from-home role .

Occasional travel may be required for clinic visits, presentations, education sessions, conferences, exhibitions or other relevant industry events.

Business-related travel expenses will be covered where applicable.

Remuneration

$35 per hour + superannuation

A performance-based incentive program will also be available, rewarding the development of new healthcare professional relationships and active accounts.

Further details of the incentive structure will be discussed with the successful candidate.

What we offer

- Flexible working hours.

- Predominantly work-from-home employment.

- A role combining health, education and business development.

- Independence and ownership of your area.

- Clear expectations and measurable goals.

- The opportunity to build relationships across the Australian healthcare sector.
