Universal Clean is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our dynamic team at Adelaide Airport. This is a full-time position based on-site at our Adelaide Airport SA 5950 location. In this role, you will support the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the daily operations, cleanliness standards, and team performance. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and presentation whilst ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This position is integral to our commitment to operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained to company standards
- Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, corridors, and common spaces to verify cleanliness and presentation standards
- Schedule staff shifts and manage leave to ensure adequate team coverage across all operating hours
- Train new housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering stock as required
- Address guest complaints or concerns related to cleanliness and housekeeping services promptly and professionally
- Implement and maintain health and safety procedures in compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist in developing and refining housekeeping procedures and quality standards
- Report to the Housekeeping Manager on team performance, incidents, and operational matters
- Support the Housekeeping Manager with administrative tasks and documentation
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or hospitality management role, ideally in a hotel, airport, or similar facility
- Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, standards, and best practices in the hospitality industry
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the hospitality sector
