Agile Mining Services is a proudly South Australian, privately owned mining services company based in Adelaide. We provide specialist technical, mining and mineral processing services to the South Australian iron ore industry.
Our operations are located near Coober Pedy , where we currently mine and export more than 3 million tonnes per annum of high-grade iron ore .
As our operation continues to grow, we are looking for experienced tradespeople to join our team and play an important role in keeping our processing operation running safely and efficiently.
About the Opportunity:
Agile Mining Services is seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Boilermaker to join our Processing Team.
This is a hands-on role suited to a Boilermaker who enjoys working in a busy processing environment, solving problems and getting stuck into a variety of maintenance and fabrication work.
You will be responsible for carrying out fabrication, repairs, inspections, maintenance and breakdown support across our fixed plant and crushing operations, with a strong focus on safety, quality and equipment reliability.
You'll work alongside our experienced Crushing and Processing teams, with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of heavy mining and crushing equipment.
What You'll Be Doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting plant inspections and identifying and reporting defects.
- Providing breakdown and maintenance support to the Crushing Team.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabricating components to specification.
- Fabricating, repairing and installing wear packages on heavy machinery.
- Rebuilding cone crushers and replacing crusher liners.
- Carrying out general fabrication,
structural and maintenance work across the processing plant.
- Operating the crusher when required to support the operation.
- Working collaboratively with the wider Processing and Maintenance teams to keep plant operating safely and efficiently.
- Completing shift reports and providing clear, accurate and detailed handovers.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safe work practices and site procedures.
About You
We're looking for a skilled Boilermaker who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys variety and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
To be successful, you will have:
- An Australian-recognised Boilermaker trade qualification / Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication .
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- Previous experience repairing and rebuilding crushing and screening equipment .
- Strong fabrication and welding skills.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
- The ability and willingness to work extended shifts in a mining setting.
- Basic computer literacy.
- A strong commitment to safety and quality.
- The ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly.
Highly regarded
The following qualifications and experience will be advantageous:
- Previous mine site experience.
- Working at Heights.
- EWP ticket.
- Confined Space training.
- Experience working on fixed plant and crushing equipment.
